General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts between Emira Cars (hereinafter referred to as the "Lessor") and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the "Lessee") regarding the rental of vehicles via the website https://emiracars.com as well as on-site in the United Arab Emirates.

Subject of the Contract
The subject of the contract is the temporary rental of a vehicle for private or business use. The type, condition, equipment, and rental period result from the respective booking confirmation or rental agreement.
Conclusion of Contract
The rental contract is concluded upon written or electronic confirmation of the booking request by Emira Cars.
Reservations via the website are initially non-binding.
Emira Cars reserves the right to reject requests without stating reasons.
Rental Prices and Payment Terms
Prices include local taxes but exclude fuel costs, fines, or additional services (e.g., child seats, additional insurance).
Payment is made by credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, or cash upon vehicle handover.
A deposit must be provided depending on the vehicle category.
Handover and Return
The Lessee undertakes to take over the vehicle at the agreed time and to return it on time, fully refueled and undamaged.
Late returns may incur additional fees.
A condition report will be created upon handover. The Lessee is obliged to report any pre-existing damage.
Obligations of the Lessee
The Lessee must be at least 21 years old (possibly 25 depending on vehicle type) and possess a valid international or UAE driver’s license.
The vehicle may not be handed over to third parties or used for illegal purposes.
The Lessee undertakes to comply with UAE traffic regulations and to handle the vehicle with care.
Insurance and Liability
Rental vehicles are at least covered by third-party liability insurance. Fully comprehensive insurance with a deductible can be optionally added.
The Lessee is liable for damages caused by gross negligence, intoxication, or unauthorized use.
The Lessor’s liability for material and financial damages is limited to intent and gross negligence.
Cancellation and Withdrawal
Cancellations are free of charge up to 48 hours before the rental begins.
In the event of short-notice cancellation or no-show, a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the rental price may apply.
The Lessor reserves the right to withdraw from the contract in cases of force majeure or vehicle failure.
Data Protection
The protection of your data is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and local UAE legislation. Please refer to our privacy policy for details.
Jurisdiction and Law
The law of the United Arab Emirates applies.
Jurisdiction is Dubai, unless mandatory consumer protection regulations state otherwise.
Final Provisions
If individual provisions of these GTC are wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
Collateral agreements must be made in writing.
